Scott’s Biography Scott Fontecchio was born in Iron Mountain, MI. The son of an Italian father (can you tell by the name) and an Irish mother. His wife, Julie and he, have a son Parker, who is 6. Parker, following in his father’s footsteps, has done several children’s shows with his dad and works as a sound checker. Fontecchio was always very energetic and involved in many sports: Boxing, scuba-diving, football, Ski-Ters Water Ski Show, swim team and his favorite, skiing. A member of the Kingsford High School Ski Team, they made in to the finals every year, and he was named to the “Dream Team” in Michigan. Fontecchio belonged to the USSA Ski Team and qualified for the Junior Olympics. Along with having many interests, Scott has worked in various jobs since his mid-teens. Fast food, mechanic, sales, roofing, waiter, bartender. Fontecchio got his start as a comedian, at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island, located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He was employed as a waiter, but when the Comedian hired for the opening act, failed to show up, Scott winged it. He became a regular as the opening act. They do not have cars on the Island – only horses and bikes. He felt very lucky that he did not have to call home and tell his parents he got a job “picking up with a shovel” after the horses. Fontecchio received a scholarship from Northern Michigan University for skiing. He also held offices during his years at college. Post-graduation Scott, with a degree in Business and Marketing, moved to Chicago. Fontecchio worked for Chicago Title and Trust, until he decided to go to California. In Chicago, Scott played many of the clubs, and the Improv. Fontecchio has continued his comedy career and has appeared at many of the casinos in Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas. He is a regular at many of the casinos in Lake Tahoe and Reno, as well as Las Vegas. He is a regular at Catch a Rising Star in Tahoe. Scott has a serious side also. He is currently in charge of the Robotics and Technology Department at a private school in Lake Tahoe, where he resides with his family.
